What are Account Segments?

Account Segments help to organize and add dimensions to your Chart of Accounts. Common Account Segments include locations, departments, units, funds, projects, cost centers, activities, and so on.

Account Segments allow you to accurately align your chart of accounts within Occupier to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Creating Account Segments in Occupier will add additional columns to your journal entry exports, allowing you to configure your Occupier reporting to your internal reports as shown below: 

In addition, some reporting available in Occupier can be filtered by Account Segments.
