How do I create a deal from a lease?

Creating Deals from Leases in Occupier

You can now create a deal directly from any lease in Lease Administration. Occupier pre-populates the deal creation form with details from the lease, and both records stay connected — a Deals tab on the lease shows its connected deals, and a Leases tab on the deal shows the lease it originated from. This makes it easy to kick off renewals, relocations, and other negotiations without re-entering lease information.

Note: This feature is only available to customers with both Lease Administration and Deal Tracker.

1. Creating a Deal from a Lease

• Navigate to any lease in Lease Admin and open the lease detail page. You'll see a new Create a Deal link.

• Click Create a Deal. The deal creation form opens with pertinent details from the lease already filled in — review, adjust as needed, and submit.

• Once the deal is created, the link on the lease page changes to connect you directly to the active deal.

2. Viewing Deals Connected to a Lease

• Open the new Deals tab on any lease page to see all deals connected to that lease.



• If no deals are connected yet, a Create Deal button is available right in the Deals tab.

3. Viewing the Lease Behind a Deal

• On any deal created from a lease, open the Leases tab to see the lease that instigated it.

FAQ

Which details are pre-populated on the deal form?

Pertinent details from the lease record are carried into the deal creation form automatically. You can edit any field before submitting. [TBD — confirm exact field list with product]

Can I link a lease to a deal that already exists?

Not yet — currently a connection is created when you create a deal from the lease. Linking to existing deals (and unlinking) is coming soon.

Can I connect multiple leases to one deal?

Not yet — support for consolidation (many leases → one deal) and multi-site scenarios (one deal → many leases) is coming soon.

I don't see the Create a Deal link. Why?

The feature requires both Lease Administration and Deal Tracker. If your organization has both and you still don't see it, contact your administrator or Occupier support.
