Lease commenting enables team collaboration within our lease administration module. In many of the software applications we use today, comments are the primary form of communication and engagement. Lease commenting within Occupier enables our users to communicate with each other regarding the details of a specific lease.
Lease commenting enables efficiency and team collaboration within Occupier allowing real-time decision-making and conversation surrounding the activities on a particular lease.
How to Comment on Leases
Step 1: Open up a lease entry and scroll down to the Comments section in the Details tab.
Step 2: As you can see, this lease entry doesn’t have any comments on it yet. Let’s change that! To add a comment, just click the text line and start typing. Once you’re ready to post, hit the enter key on your keyboard!
Step 3: Once created, you’ll receive a confirmation popup at the bottom of your screen. An email will also automatically be sent out to you and your team notifying you that a comment was made on that lease. (Want to change that? Find how in our Email Preferences article)
Step 4: You can reply to a comment to keep organized. To do so, click the “Reply” button underneath the comment you wish to reply to.
Step 5: A new reply field should open. Type out your reply and hit enter to post it! You’ll receive a notification at the bottom of your screen confirming the reply was created and the reply will pop up underneath the comment it’s replying to.
Step 6: Need to edit? Click the edit icon next to the comment you want to tweak. Make your edits then hit enter to save them
Step 7: Want to delete something? Click the delete icon next to the comment you want to get rid of. You’ll receive a notification at the bottom of your screen indicating that it was successfully deleted. Tip- You have to delete an initial comment’s replies first before you can delete the initial comment!
Lease Commenting Notifications
- When a new comment is added to the lease page, a notification is emailed to everyone that is added as a team member on that particular lease.
- When a response is made on an original comment, then a notification is emailed to everyone on that thread (ie. the original commenter and the relier only).
- As more team members respond to comment threads, they too will be emailed a notification of commenting activity.
