What is the Key Date Confirmation Sheet?
Before we begin the full abstraction of your lease, we’ll start by doing a preliminary review of the documents to determine what we believe are the key term dates of your leases.
These Key Term Dates are the:
- Possession/Delivery Date
- Lease Commencement Date (as defined by the lease)
- Rent Commencement Date (either what the lease defines it to be or the first date rent is paid)
- Expiration Date
These dates have the most impact on the data entered into Occupier so we require your final sign off on them.
How should you review your Key Date Confirmation Sheet?
Your Onboarding Manager will notify you that the Key Date Confirmation Sheet is ready for review. The goal of your review is to make any adjustments required to the key dates of each lease. We’ve noted from which document we’ve received each date from and have color-coded the cells for your convenience:

Next to each of our Date Discovery Columns is space for you to make any adjustments. If you approve of the noted date, you can leave the cell blank; we’ll assume no adjustment is required.
