How do I open a closed accounting period?
How to use the Close Books feature to open an accounting period and unlock the journal entries in Occupier.
Access the Close Books page to reopen periods, allowing you to modify lease schedules and revise journal entries as needed.
Reopen Periods
To view a list of closed periods organized by legal entity, go to the Close Books page and click on the Closed Periods tab.
- Choose the legal entity and the specific period you wish to reopen, then click on the edit icon to initiate the reopening process.
- To finalize the reopening of the period, click 'Confirm.' If you wish to return to the previous page without making changes, select 'Cancel.'
- If there are any periods that were closed after the one you have selected, Occupier will automatically reopen the selected period along with all following periods for the chosen legal entities.
- Go to the history tab to view the status of the open and closed periods.
